Great choices all; I've always imagined Daniel Lanois would be an interesting choice.
I hadn't realized he died so long ago. By the way that famous school bus was actually more of an abstract modern design (Piet Mondrian) than psychedelic.

Was Reuben a producer? I thought he was just a manager.
Did he have something going on with Mom? Or Laurie?
Was Danny his son? And what to make of the 2 young ones?

I think Reuben Kinkaid was something like Andrew Loog Oldham; he functioned as both manager and producer. There are several episodes where he is seen in the studio with the group, overseeing the sessions and choosing songs. He didn't have anything going on with Shirley although I think he fancied her. Most likely be didn't want to compromise his professional relationship with her but he was something of a father figure to Keith, Danny and the two Chrises. I'm sure he lusted after Laurie but Keith was pulling in so many hot chicks that maybe he got a little side action. Things were so much less complicated in the early 70s.

Glass as a Rock producer? I must have missed something. However, compositionwise Glass could easily take a two-strum Keith riff and stretch it to an hour ...
That'd be the best choice IMO. Down the earth, stripped, focused on the songs. Mick knows how to work with him.

Lanois is used to overdub tracks while the artist he produces is not there... It wouldn't work too well with Keith...

No one would know who the producer was if it wasn't listed on the albums credits.
If Don Was was listed and it really was Rick Rubin people would bitch about it just because they thought it was Was.
If I said that Moon Is Up was produced by Rubin people would think yeah I like the production on that song.
You cant tell if Time Waits For No One was produced by The Glimmer Twins or Jimmy Miller unless you were told.
