Awful title. Do the makers of this film even know what "strange fruit" references?

Looks like it will have some interesting interviews, however, it doesn't look like it is authorized so no original music on it. A shame, this could really be a great musical documentary, especially if the original music and outtakes were used.

Awful title

Highly inappropriate title. In that respect it's rather like McCartney's latest album title "Kisses on the Bottom".
Just more proof that McCartney's getting more senile.

It's not too late to change the title.

What ever happened with that proposed film version of Richard DiLello's book THE LONGEST COCKTAIL PARTY? I loved that book as a teenager -- I read it so many times it literally fell apart (not unlike Apple!).

Me too! It was like the first "insider" rock 'n roll book I ever read.

Add me to that group. Even as a young kid when I read it, I noticed there was something wrong with the way they were running the damn thing. There was something in there about someone bringing a donkey in the office. It should be standard reading of how not to run a business.
BTW, I have no problem with the title. What is this, 1984? That character Syme getting rid of words? I know what the song's about, but please...

I don't think it's a matter of 1984 (as in censorship) I think it's more a problem of the title not getting across what the producers intend.

Its worth having if you are a fan. Some great stuff in it, a bit depressing, but very informative.

Apple To The Core was another one I had. That was a good read, too.

The only reason I said it was an awful title is that I don't see any connection between Apple and lynching. It seems lazy and either ignorant or flippant.

But wasn't it APPLE TO THE CORPS.?

Was it CORPS? I wonder what happened to that book. Must have lost it in a move.

Was it in DiLello's book where they talked about the color of the apple? Paul got his way with the Granny Smith but the others got to use their choices on solo releases: John's white on PLASTIC ONO BAND, George's orange on ALL THINGS MUST PASS, and Ringo's blue on "Back Off Boogaloo".
I always wondered why the final Beatles album LET IT BE was red and was full on both sides (or did I have a freak release?).

No, you're right, "Let It Be" was red. Always wondered about that too.
