OT- Great Musicians who like to Work Alone

I know there's been some great musicians in the pass that'll choosen to work alone because they feel uncomfortable about working alongside others in a band the same could probably be said about their private life a bit reclusive maybe. But what musicians who were in a band left and went solo because they knew they just didn't fit in a band environment.

You can not compare these gentlemens solo productions on even the same day with what they did in The Beatles ...John Lennons solo albums is far from for example David Bowie's from the same era...

Joe Hill being a session musician on Sun Records in the 50ies before his death 1957...I wonder if he ever played with for example The Million Dollar Quartet, or on their solo-projects...

Joe Hill Louis.....was one of the first to record for Sam Phillips
in mid 1950 and was an artist in his own rights .... Phillips released
his early recordings on his Phillips label then leased following
recordings out to Modern/RPM and Chess then his own SUN label in 1952
Joe's last recordings at Sun were around 1953..Presley didn't record till mid 1954

Prince mostly records alone and the first Foo Fighters album was all played by Dave Grohl except for a guitar overdub by Greg Dulli.

I only recently bought the core Stevie Wonder albums from the 1970's and was surprised to see that Stevie operated as a one-man band much of the time.

Pete Townshend did one-man band demos of nearly every Who song.

Dave Davies played everything himself on his first solo album.

John Fogerty played everything himself on Centerfield.
