OT: R.I.P. Marie Fredriksson

This is probably not the place to pay my respect for her, but being a kid in the late 80s, early 90s, Roxette was vital in cranking up my interest in music.
Even listening to them today, I still hear their (well Per Gessle actually) fantastic craft in songwriting.
R.I.P. Marie.

RIP Marie. Wasn't familiar with Roxette's career apart from the late 80s. A number of hits like The Look, Dangerous, Dress For Success and Must Have Been Love.

Roxette were a big part of my school years in the early nineties, pretty much the first band I was ever a big fan of.
I only saw them twice - much later - in 2011 and 2015 and I am glad I did. Eventhough Marie's illness was obviously taking its toll, both shows were great, even the later one, where Marie had to sit on a stool. It was obvious that she was enjoying her second life and soaking in the love and energy from the fans. And she was giving away all she had in return.
Roxette were a great pop-rock band, really one of the absoultely best at what they did.

Big part of early 90s radio were Roxette. Not my thing but they wrote some great tunes together. Well crafted songs
