I couldn't agree more.

And I take no pleasure in being disappointed with "Life." Many statements were petty, egotistical and deliberately cruel. His "minders" let him down in going along with the publisher's lack of good editing.

Ironically, without Jagger, Keith would likely not be rich and famous

On a personal note, as a writer I recently turned down a wonderful "deal" because I was unwilling to crucify someone I was incredibly helpful to in their career. He turned out to be a self-centered bastard who takes great pride in being an egomaniac, a cheat etc.

But who am I to go against my own values and verbally destroy another human being for 400 pages? Sell myself out for money. I can't do that.

I believe that Keith will, if he has not already, regret quite a bit of what he wrote or agreed to publish. Not just about Mick or the band that has carried Keith so many times. But also about others who have a right to their privacy.

When I first watched the YT clip of Keith playin' LRR I said to myself ooh la la...
Then comes the rehearsal clip where I stated in another thread that Keith got a thing with the blues, he has THE voice, and after 50 years of rock'n'roll maybe
he could become a respectable blues singer.
But back to the topic, if some of you are happy just to see Keith in this footage, maybe they will be happy too if Keith is filmed tomorrow eatin' an hamburger, to each his pleasure after all.
No kidding he's out from the start to the end and IMO he better should have stayed in the audience. Elvis Costello's cover of No Particular place to Go, has somethin', he played it very well in his own way, but this "Promised land" 's duo is a joke !

unlike with many others here, keith convinced me with this impromptu thing
that he could do stones shows. whether he should do stones
shows, i don't know...

willie nelson and snoop dogg sort of explain it better than i can...

Somebody please ask the harmonica player to stop. Sorry but this is not bad by Keith. I nag about everything he's done since 1989 but not this. This is a f-ckin great version of Little red rooster. Love his voice here and his playing. This is what I've been waiting for.

I found his playing whizzy .Plus he just played a few notes if you check his fingers on the guitar neck .
But as we say in France, you cannot be and have been ....you only live once .

If I am not mistaken,Dave Gilmour is about the same age, isn't he ?

Now check this ,that's what I call "playing guitar"
Just to watch his fingers give me goosebumps.

2005

2011

I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

Maybe you should learn to accept other peoples opinions here and not just your own? It´s fine with me if you and your friends think that "Keith Richards plays the guitar better than ever and there is nothing wrong with his fingers and head".

Are you a guitar player yourself ?
If yes, I would like you to tell me why you think Gilmour is no good as a guitar player .

Yeah that was horrible but also offtopic since it's a different style of music. However Id love to hear Keith play guitar and sing with the same feeling he has on the clip of Little Red Rooster, leave out the "Oooohs" he started exercising in 1989 and took evern further in 2006 and just stick with the low, relaxed inner voice that was last heard in Toronto 1977.

Why not admit that this man has serious problems to play the guitar decently?
It's right to be fans but it takes a bit of objectivity.

Yes, but only with a small stage for Mick and chair for Keef

Hey teacher, don't waste your time searching for my previous comments!
There are also many repetitive comments of people who are enthusiastic after seeing the latest performances of Mick and Keith but i have never read something like "Sometimes enough is enough".
I answer them with facts: Mick after singing one song he seemed to have done a marathon. Keith makes many poses and maybe sings better but has big problems to play guitar.

Think Thoreau is turning in his grave?

Maybe Don Henley will write a song about Keith and literature.
