At Coventry March 6th 1971 they did 2 shows.
Same setlist each show except they added "Prodigal Son" in 2nd show.
Recording of 1st show is circulating but in very poor quality.
They included Dead Flowers, Bitch & Brown Sugar from Sticky Fingers but not CYHMK.

I've only seen them once, at Wembley Stadium during the Voodoo Lounge tour. It was my first stones gig and my first stadium gig experience.

The Black Crowes were support, but left the stage after 4 or so songs when the rain started which was a pity because they sounded excellent!

The Rolling Stones...

After an initial rush of excitement, I found myself getting bored as the night went on, I just didn't feel any real connection to what I was hearing or seeing. It all seemed so impersonal or maybe I was tired from travelling dwon Aberdeen!? I decided after that stadium gigs aren't for me and I haven't been to or intend to go to another.

Over all, it was a nice experience to go to London for a Rolling Stones day... ate at Sticky Fingers and saw The Rolling Stones play.

Most of your displeasure was probably related to it being the Voodoo Lounge tour.

trying to do it from memory, no doubt will get some things wrong...

1965 newark symphony hall
1969 detroit, called the olympia i think
1972 MSG, the afternoon show, the one bianca said the building was shaking so
much they were afraid it might come down
1975 minneapolis or st.paul
1978 passaic theatre show, free tik by luck, and philly
1981 brendan byrne arena, if thats what it was called then, free tik from keith's shrink
1989 shea stadium
1994 giants stadium once, philly twice, chicago twice
1997 philly, hand slaps from keith, charlie, and ronnie
1999 philly front row center $90, best seat in the house available to the public,
even got my mug up on the big screen
1999 dont really remember the year, the MTV 10-spot show, snuck in, right up front
2002 melbourne, and sydney theatre show, pressed up against stage, hand slap
from mick, completing my collection

never paid more than $125. average about $35 per show.

I win!!!

To answer The Scilian's question, I first saw The Rolling Stones at their first concert at Royal Albert Hall in 1966. I was young and innocent. But not for long.

Don't understand your query about Jimi.

And to those who've reminded us yes, this question has been asked before but there seem to be a lot of newbies in recent months who may have some interesting memories of seeing the band live.

Met a old dude that was at one of the El Mocambo shows...couldn't remember which one.

Loved the stones but wasn't even aware there were new live show downloads available when I told him I was hoping for El Mocambo to be one of them in hte near future.

Some of the people here have seen them dozens of times. Though I have been a fan since 1964, I have only seen them 5 times. My life took a different turn when I was 19 and it just wasn't feasible for me to see them for many years. So,:

1966 Hollywood Bowl
1969 LA Forum
2002 Tacoma Dome
2005 Seattle Key Arena
2006 Seattle Qwest Field.
