probably made love to wren just before the show
Yeah I noticed the Hubert Sumlin mention. Would seem odd to mention it and not play at the tribute.Quote

Loved it! The shout out to Hubert Sumlin too. Fantastic. Mick has Howlin' Wolf's phrasing down, I put it at 8-1 odds he makes a cameo at the Apollo.

GRAVITY, you are way off base, in my humble opinion. Of all the presidents of late, Obama is the least likely to be thought of as a " cold fish".

Mick's cool, and how refreshing to see him accompanied by a guitar player who does not get lost after a couple of notes...

...Anyways, I thought Jagger was singing quite well, after an over the top opening "Can't Turn Me Loose." All that showesy annoying pointing and jabbing just made me cringe.
The banter after the song was a sort of uncomfortable moment because Jagger is out of element with an attentive audience that is not cheering and yelling. I think that by the time Buddy Guy came out he was much more relaxed and in control. ...

Funny how things change, 236 years ago Washington and the Americans were being chased across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania by the British. Now, Washington in portrait, stares down in comfort at British and American musicians playing music together in the house of the American President.

Happy 280th Birthday George Washington!

Mick was fantastic! Yeah, it was a bit intense hearing how out of breath he was, but man did he deliver the goods! It was great seeing his affection for the music and his friendship with Beck as well.
One thing that struck me as being profoundly sad was all the idiotic political comments on Youtube. Why can't people just enjoy the history and music without politicizing it? A shame.
But MICK still has the goods! Phenomenal!

Because there is a sub-species of human who exists for the sole purpose of posting mind-numbingly idiotic political comments (mostly misspelled) on any story posted on the web. What did people like this do before the Internet existed, write letters in basements warning about the dark conspiracy of flouride in the water supply?

Absolutely agree on degree of relaxation, improving after the first number.
I mean, I love Mick being Mick, but that was almost an impression of Jimmy Fallon doing him.

I think you mean "Sweet Home Chicago". At least that's what I heard at the end.

I don't think much of pro-censorship types like mickschix...
What Gravity needs to realize is if it were "W" doing what he accuses Obama of doing all heck would break loose with the lefties protesting in the street, but they can't risk being called the "r" word...
