Nice to see someone else is sort of getting it. In short, Mick is a drama queen in a sort of business like way. He is a master promoter and script writer. He has very carefully and masterfully scripted the last five years since the conclusion of the ABB tour. He will always give you a little bit, but not the entire piece of the pie right up until the very last possible moment. People that take the Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger, (and even life itself) too literal are going to struggle in their understanding. Once you realize that they are winking at you that's when the fun begins. I have enjoyed the last five years more than when they are actually touring. It's the anticipation of things to come that makes life so exciting.

The professor you speak of is a wise man. The vast majority of people are followers and only see what those they are following tell them to see. In short, they lack vision.

I've stepped out of this thread for several pages so I'm not even sure what direction this thread has gone since I left but are people still harping on about the out of breath thing?? Please. And for people to bother Bernard over this...poor taste.

Anyway, his response is excellent. I'm not sure how it can be explained anymore succinctly than that. Move on, people.

"BF: The first record my father gave me was by The Rolling Stones so it is fitting that I have been able to become a working singer/musician with them. I have been lucky enough to work on all of their albums since 1989. I have also worked on solo records for Keith Richards and Mick Jagger. I have worked on the jazz albums by Charlie Watts and I have produced two records for Ronnie Woods.

What have you learned from this experience?

BF: I think the main thing I have learned is that since James Brown passed away, Mick Jagger is the hardest working man in show business!"

Bruce's dance interpretations of eight Rolling Stones songs including "Little Red
Rooster," "Paint It Black" and "Sympathy for the Devil." If that sounds a little
lowbrow for the ballet, the program also includes two works by the company's
Artistic Director, Stanton Welch: Divergence, which uses the music of Georges
Bizet, and Tapestry, an adaptation of Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5.

Rooster draws heavily from Stones front man Mick Jagger's cock-like dance moves,
which some have compared to ballet itself over the years; Bruce has said the ballet
is based on the "sexual war" he witnessed as a young man in the 1960s. Rooster

semi-working band.

2) Whatever Mick is up to these days, manipulation-wise, I see no evidence
whatsoever that it is building up hype and anticipation. Intentionally or not,
I think the life-blood is being drained from the myth of the 50th anniversary
Stones, day by day, drop by drop.

Things are building quite nicely for the 50th. We are in a lull period for the moment. That will all change over the next few months when things begin to ratchet up. Could be that some of the "lovely things" will bleed over into the early part of 2013.

You should be quite revved up for the gigs that take place in July.

The biggest lol for me so far was yesterday, when somebody on shidoobee quoted
charlie in his radio interview as saying the problem was "all of them were
very busy". LOL!

Not just funny in and of itself, but also funny because it a perfect quote of
what Dave Stewart kept saying when SuperHeavy didn't get it together for any shows.
Or any more recording.

And this is how "busy" the SuperHeavies were:

1) AR announced a "world tour" and did one show in Dubai.

2) Dave and Joss announced the "More Love tour" and did two small shows
in California.

3) Mick helped seat the guests and serve sushi at the L'Wren show.

4) Since the SuperHeavy album was released, Damian has released two
songs, neither of them particularly successful, and done a few shows
in Latin America, which were nothing more than the Nas shows without Nas.

The National Ballet of Canada showed this in Toronto in 2008. Other
Stones songs that the dancers performed to were "Ruby Tuesday" and
"Lady Jane". It was excellent.

Honestly, the build up is more exciting to me at this stage of my life. I have no plans to attend another live performance. I am, however, very excited for the new album and the eventual DVD documenting whatever they ultimately end up doing in 2012 and 2013. Even if all it is, is Mick bursting forth from the inside of a giant 50th birthday cake to the tune of Jumpin Jack Flash.
