Yes. Mick smiled a lot toward the end, and kept things going strong
all the way through.

Man, there's some high tension in that room. you could hear a needle drop between songs.
everybody seems a bit uptight.

Agree....it seems like the audience are trapped in a place where they can never Let it loose and have a blast for fear of disapproval..........I don't envy them.........
they're taping for a later broadcast. It has nothing to do with "fear of disapproval". Same thing happens at Letterman tapings, Leno tapings, any show really that will air later. It's the awkward moments between shots.
Ahh, they all seeemed so buttoned down even when the songs were on......as I say though they did finally join in for the last song.............great to see Mick up and about...........

I do not like Michelle Obama at all here. Do not know why

She seemed a little 'detached' during MJ's performance didn't she?

Maybe it's just an unfortunate expression but to me she looks like she's thinking...."What the f uck are you lowlifes doing in my house and when are you going to f uck off ?

You are a complete idiot. Your figured all that out with a facial expression? Give me an effing break. Michelle Obama is probably the greatest first lady we have ever had. Could you possibly be any more racisct if you tried?

Shouldn't Mr Beck have dressed up a bit? Can President Obama speak without a prompter at all? Wasn't the announcer a bit script bound? Questions, questions, questions...

Yes, Mick was great, but so out of breath after one song. That was heartbreaking to see. How the hell can he pull off a tour, or even a 2-hour concert, if one song leaves him panting for air??

Don't worry about that he's not exactly match fit...it won't be a problem for him...

Playing a small sterile room, to a low in numbers seated audience is totally different to playing a stadium etc.

He was wound up, nervous, but ready to roll and he did so with style! cool smiley

I think you're right. I'm wondering if he wanted it to tone it down a bit because of the special occasion, perhaps it'd be jarring/inapropriate for the uptight crowd? Whatever the reason, I hope Mick ditches it for good.

Mick's choice of "Miss You" proves just how wrong everyone got this song back in the day. At the very seed, this song is blues.

I gotta disagree. I really think Miss You didn't belong on this bill. Mick would have been better off sticking to the blues.
