Technically she had the power but lacked soul, I found her music overbearing along with Celine Dion and Mariah Carey, now give me Etta James anyday.
RIP: Whitney.

l don't want sound uncaring,or rain on anyone's parade, but please,l have had enough of the Whitney Houston, hypocritical tributes ,lets face it ,her time had passed, she was a drug addict, had lost her voice, and most of the people around her were enablers, that would give her anything. Bobby Brown was probably the worse, and now he is all over crying crocodile tears, and the newscasters, are over the top with their B.S.
Bottom line if you are a junkie and after your time has passed continue to do drugs as if you were a 20 years old,it will kill you,and it did her in,and it was her choice.....A great talent wasted..

I never could stand her singing, and still can't. Just as I can't stand Mariah Careys singing, and can't stand the entire generation it spawned, like Beyonce.
I just hate this technical acrobatry of 'I can sing 16 octaves, and I am going to show it in every two words, preferably with lots of empty air in between'. It's just as I can't stand all the technical guitar wizzards of the 80's, playing a million notes in every bar.
Sorry.

Koen,at no time lam judging her choices,l got no problem with people doing drugs, have done quite a few in my time, my point is that it was her choice do them, and she died from that choice, but somehow people now are trying to make her to be a saint,as someone else said here before"thousands of people also died last Saturday"and to me she was just one more, that's all. And as far as your question no lam not done with The Stones.Quote

Stoneage,l guess u r referring to my post, where did l say we should keep quiet about her death?, and when l pointed out that thousands of other people had also died that Saturday, l wasn't referring to only addicts, but people in general(BTW someone else said that line and l made it perfectly clear in my post),but FOR ME and only me,she was just another casualty of her excesses, but if you feel different about her death, well that's your prerogative...I got no problem with that, have a nice day.Quote
Stoneage
I don't understand this logic that we are supposed to keep quiet about this because a thousand other addicts died the same day. Don't you think there is a difference between a world known megastar who has sold millions of records and Mr N N. If the President of the USA drowned in his bath sleepy on pills: Don't you think that that would be of greater interest to the world than Mrs Anonymous doing the same in her apartment? Ever heard the term news value?
