I have said repeatedly that July 12, 2012 is the official 50th birthday of the Rolling Stones. It is no coincidence that the new book is being released on that date. As I have stated before the 50th anniversary year begins on July 12, 2012 and runs through July 11, 2013. There will be lots of "lovely things" during this year long celebration. Recently I sensed that there may not be any actual touring this year and that Mick might be leaning more towards 2013 in that regard. Apparently, "my hunch" was correct. Of course they could surprise us with something earlier, and that would be just fine and dandy. Whatever they were going to do in 2012 was going to spill over into 2013 anyway. The documentary is being released in September. I suspect we will get a new album sometime around Christmas or early in the New Year. Hopefully we will begin to see some live performances early in the New Year. If they come later, then so be it. The good news is that the next 16 months around here is going to be filled with anticipation. I am looking forward to it. As Stones fans it can't get any better.
Like Rodney Dangerfield, just looking for a little respect. Probably won't get any until the day the Beatles Family comes together all on one stage. Maybe that day I get a big Viking horn and blow into it?

Just as surely Nibiru draws ever closer for a final reckoning with the earth, so too, The Sons of Beatles threaten to make Stonescrow's prophecy a reality...

Certainly they will mark the 50th anniversary this summer, but is it possible that we won't see any actual live performances until (at the earliest) January of 2013? Mick has hinted that Charlie's joining the band (in January of 1963) holds at least some significance to him. Also, Bill Wyman didn't join the band until December of 1962.

Oh course Chuck is part of the original "vegas 6", so that occasion should not be lost in all this 50th anniversary hoopla.

NICE! Can you pinpoint the day or year of inception and then when it really happened? The Vegas 6. Ha ha. That has a ring to it alright, a ring around the neck!

I'm going to say August 31, 1989 at Veteran's Stadium is the actual date. We had some 'prehistoric beginnings' if you look at the fact that he is listed as a co-writer to one cut in the Dirty Work travesty..."BACK TO ZERO" and obviously made his RS 'debut' on that album.
However the true Vegas 6 beginnings can probably be tracked back to that date.

Wow! Amazing how much the sons look like the fathers - esp. Dhani.

If it didn't actually 'die', it at least went 'back to zero'.
