Brian Jones gets feisty in Marbella, Spain - June 1966

Via Google Translate:

Rolling: Stone Brian Jones in battle with the Dutch
bar keeper Vic Nowee
on the Oranjeplein in Marbella (Spain). AMSTERDAM.
Thursday
The young man, that
on the left in the photo with a table a threatening attitude to fight
it is
millions of young idols
people around the world.
It's Rolling Stone
Br i a Jones, that
on holiday in Spain
and the man who did it
wants to attack is the 22-
year-old harbourmaster from The Hague
Vick Nowee.
The reason for this fight in the Spanish holiday village
Marbella was the girlfriend of
Rolling Stone Brian Jones, the German fashion model Anita Pallemberg,
with whom he stayed in the village. English one
tourist was disappointed that
Anita did not want to interfere with him and started to fight with the Rolling Stone.
Vick Nowee told us
about this scene, reminiscent of Frank Sinatra who also likes to be fisted: "Brian Jones got angry when it came
Englishman nasty things about it
Anita went on to say. It was me
totally agree with him and
the Englishman asked mine
cause to leave because he is one
of my customers.
A good one then followed
exchange of words between Brian
and the Englishman and Brian decided
fight the case.
I had to keep out of it Blind rage
At least he thought so,
because a moment later Brian Jones was standing on my terrace. In blind
rage he started now chairs
and knock over tables on the terrace and when he wanted to lyf me with one of those tables
I had to go this one unpleasant
way.
Anita tried to join Brian
but this one pulled itself
and still kicked in anger
two huge flower pots from
located on the other side
board to pieces. He was then caught red-handed
some police officers and without
Brian was taken away
to prison.
It cost Anita, that good
Speaks Spanish, much effort
appease the case and it remained a fine. After being imprisoned in Marbella for an hour, Brian Jones was released and he could pack his bags
to get his plane fast,
that this incident delayed half an hour. "
Fighting
It is a strange story that I am from hot Spain
heard, but • actually surprised
it doesn't matter to me. The Rolling Stones have already known themselves as martial arts youngsters who, because of their fame, think they can afford anything.
It will not have happened to Brian Jones that he did not get his way.
lanHdeste is good that a young Dutch man who wanted to protect his own business once took a beating.

Right on Brian. Screw him. Take one of those legs off that table and give him a good paddle.
I don't really understand the translation but i really dig the picture.
Brian could make music out of anything.
He was going to see what that thing sounded like bounced off that @#$%& head.
WAY more flower pots should have been broken but
the boy was possibly a little tired from the hectic life of rock and roll in action.
Now that Anita, well, that's another post....

....i was Mickist after the heart thing, formerly a Keithist,
(that honey honey honey honey honey lyric really got to me),
always THE KEY Billist, (with a nod to Stu and Charlsists of course),
but now I'm tending Brianist.

Good show Brian!!

Something along lines of an englishman hit on Anita, Brian got crazy, bar owner (photographed) stepped in cos Brian was smashing shit up, police came and arrested Brian, he spent awhile in a cell until Anita, who spoke some spanish, paid a fine, got him out, and they flew out of there asap. hot smiley

Keith has mentioned in Life that Anita got Brian out of jail. This must be it. grinning smiley

June 1966 was the same month that Mick 'collapsed with exhaustion' also.
The pressure was mounting,even then.

a fun story - thanks for posting!

"Anita saved Brian's ass from jail after BJ smashed the terrace where Vick Nowee the Dutch barman was working, the problems started over Anita between an English tourist and Brian, Brian was gonna fight it out but came back to destroy the terrace even when Anita tried to pull him off and was taken to prison".

Something unrelated to the Stones, but Vick Nowee is the son of Jan Nowee and brother of Paul Nowee, the authors of the hugely popular Arendsoog (Eagle Eye) book series, which is similar to the Old Shatterhand book series. There most likely isn't a Dutch guy over 30 who hasn't read these books.

True, true how true. turns out he was also a botanist.
there's a deeper story behind those planter pots getting broken
(and/or thrown at someone's neck appendage).
amazing lad. turns out a bilist too.

17th November 1968:

... Brian's contribution to that session was to lie on his stomach most of the night, reading an article on botany.

Little Bonnie and Clyde action there.
I'm gonna run Performance without the sound and listen to Talk Is Cheap,
I've got those naked pictures of Faye Dunaway in the other computer, brb
When Memo From Turner comes on though, I'm turning up the movie and down the Keith album.

Yob is a slang word used in the United Kingdom. The term denotes a loutish, uncultured person, and is published in dictionaries in the United Kingdom.

In Australia and New Zealand, the word yobbo is more frequently used, with a similar although slightly less negative meaning.
