Lisa's Wedding" is the 19th episode of The Simpsons' sixth season. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on March 19, 1995. The plot focuses on Lisa visiting a carnival fortune teller and learning about her future love.

The action of this story takes place in the year 2010. It was supposed to be hilariously funny and preposterous that the Rolling Stones would still be touring in 2010.

In 1973 I thought the Stones wouldn't make it to 1975 (the Beatles were already three years into history), but by 1995 I thought that half a Century was a (wishful thinking kind of) possibility. The Stones have made time into a joke (Time is on my side; The Last Time; Time waits for no one) not only through their songs, but by their sheer existance, closing in to possibly even sixty years. Am I dreaming? Are you dreaming?

I love these illustrations. I would liked it if they'd actually had the guitar in Ronnie's hands with him wearing a surgical corset and external frame to straighten him up.

I recall being in the crowd at Newcastle way back in 1982 (I was only 18 then) and I got chatting to this guy from Lincoln and him saying this would definitely be the last time and I'm thinking to myself how lucky I was to catch them before they quit!

Jokes about the Stones being old is always fun. My dad saw them in ’82 and thought ”Man they’re getting old. They’ll probably retire soon.”
