LOL he can yell at me anytime. Go ahead, please scream at me. Any sound’ll do.
Edit, uh, sorry, guess it’s that tour fever thing.
I’ve seen this guy talk about his work meeting w/ Mick before, funny :-)

It's actually one of the better Jagger impressions I've seen. A lot of people don't get it right.

I think it's pretty funny.

Also in there is real insight of how a person can be affected by a lifetime of celebrity. I can't think of another comedian who has used Mick or the Stones as the basis for a bit, and not come across as uninformed, mean-spirited, or idiotic.

Mulvaney really wasn't critical of Mick. It was more like he marveled at, or even envied, his degree of celebrity that transformed into a tangible power.

Many people his age would just whine about the content of lyrics that no one pays attention to, and then declare what songs the Stones should and shouldn't play.

It's John Mulaney not Mulvaney. I was actually at this show last year and I died of laughter during this part. To each their own though if they don't think he's funny. His humor is more on par with my generation than with older ones.

So this guy is funny based on how old you are? eye rolling smiley

It was a chuckle the first time I heard it. 2nd time, eh.
Not sure a 2 hr. meeting story is funny more than 1x, sorry.

That's a good point. Usually if they are mentioned in a stand up routine its pretty lame. Mulaney found an interesting angle.

I think Marc Maron is another one who had some funny observations when he talked about his concert experience in his stand up.

Okey, I listened to it again: Somewhat amusing. Like a humorous TED-talk or something. Observation humour. Reminds me of Jerome Seinfeld.
The guy bears a small resemblance to Jagger though. But seriously, he must have been a middle act or something. Did he himself draw that big audience?

He’s a writer doing standup. That’s all I know. I don’t watch Saturday Night Live. But clips or write ups of his 2 hour meeting w/ Jagger are now officially beat to death.

And, as a standup, Seinfeld is King. Seen him live close up 2x. And never liked the Seinfeld TV show yawning smiley

A great clip and very funny, thanks bleedingman.

I wonder if it's true, though? ... does Mick just bark out "Diet Coke" and one is immediately handed to him?

Greatest comedian of our time. And this sounds so accurate. As he would say "I love it."

....i think this guy if funny and captures haha; what it must be like for poor Mik having to meet 87,898 idiots one after the other since he's a teenager....

No, I'm saying that the show I went to had a lot of millennials so he attracts a lot of younger people. If you don't think he's funny than that's your own opinion lol I went to the show with my dad, who is 57 and he was crying at this part, but again if you don't think it's funny....congratulations? eye rolling smiley

Okey, a third try. First of all, thanks for the clip Bleedingman. I'm always up for Jagger jokes. After all, this is a RS site. Secondly, the guy is not bad. He has a couple of punch lines, like the one below.
But I can't say he differs much from any other stand up comedian besides the fact that he's better dressed. To me he's one in a dozen. And if not a big fan of stand up comedy in the first place...

"He's Mick Jagger. THAT'S HIS NAME!"
