To see Dhani and George Martin together in studio is truly thrilling. Just finished watching the Beatles Anthology. I pull it out every January and February and watch it at least a couple times over.
my sentiments exactly..gives me goosebumps..... there's something that feels very good about this clip.

I think there is a strong possibility that it's Eric.

But the guitar solo is not on Abbey Road.
It was excluded.
I think it has a touch of the Eric about it.
..or John...Maybe he put on his guitar solo to joke with the guys ...and no-one erased..only let it be unheard...great things this...everything should be released for us that cares for things like this...

There s zero chance thats Clapton. Pure George Harrisson. And man it sounded great.
That fragmented lead style is pure Harrison. Clapton is more busy.

WOW! That is a nugget of a find! Thanks so much for posting. What is this taken from??? And that is Dhani with him in the glasses?? Like how Martin points to him at the end and says, "you got it! Your like your father..." Cool!

See this is another reason that they could just start re-releasing alternate albums, there is probably so much cool stuff out there like this. . . Even George Martin is surprised to hear that lead!

A George Harrison guitar solo recorded for but not included on the Beatles' 1969 hit "Here Comes the Sun" has been unearthed. Harrison's son Dhani, Beatles producer George Martin and his son Giles Martin discovered the solo during a recent visit to EMI Studios in London; www.nme.com has posted a video of the three men listening to a master recording of the song that includes the solo, which Dhani Harrison said he never knew existed. There's no word on whether the recording will be released.

Very nice post. I liked George Martins reaction to the guitar solo, and he really got into it. Good to see there's so much life in him.

Terrific stuff. It's not an actual tihai, but I know what he's talking about regarding the end riff. My favorite part was always the descending synth run at about 2:08 in this clip (it's kinda buried in original mix).

No. According to Lewison's exhaustive book documenting all their sessions. Clapton was at none of the Abbey Road sessions. That was their last album and they kept the sessions quite closed.
