Thank Goodness Mick Avory is ok.
It's really easy to underestimate the huge, huge talent behind each of The Kinks.
I'd care one hell of a lot.
And the passing of what is the last of the 'parent' generation
of the Camelot Kennedy myth, and some of the high-style reality therein as well...
...is interesting. I do remember the days when Truman Capote and
a lot of literary figures were trying to get in on the Stones' massive rock and roll party.

[tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com]
The Real Lee Radziwill
much more to this piece than this quick aside about Mick.

"I think the way you'd expect him to be; absolutely the leader, always in command.
The one that stayed so straight so he could keep everybody else under control."

"I can see how other people can find him sexy but i found him repulsive..."

It didn't seem like a dig; watch the video on the link; he's mentioned pretty early on. It seemed she observed closely and accurately, and also that this
'repulsive' remark, tho unfortunate word-choice, I guess that's her perogative,
but she seemed to me to be respectful of him and the job he was doing.
In any case, it's def a marker in cultural time on this side of the Atlantic imo.

I believe Capote got onto the '72 tour because he was going to write a piece on it. He hated the experience and had nothing good to say. He never finished the article.

Mediamass is a hoax website. Don't believe anything they post.

Having said that, I can find no evidence that he has died. It was his birthday two days ago.

by that the look on her face in that pic, I'd say the only
thing that 'repulsed' her about Mick was the fact that he was with Bianca.
Not Princess Her.
Mick would grow up to be Royalty himself.

RIP.

She didn't look 10 years older than Mick, at least at the time!
According to Wikipedia she appears in the CS Blues movie.

Yes, however, I always took Keith's disparaging remarks about Royals and socialites with a pinch of salt. I'm sure he liked the publicity and their louche lifestyles.
Anyway, wasnt he a pal of one Prince Stash Klosowski de Rola? (1960/70s).
I always thought his name was made up, but apparantly not.
And let's not forget Prince Rupert, his former bank manager!

I think you are mixing her up with the then (1977) Canadian PM's wife, one Margaret Trudeau.

Keith Richards Nicknamed Princess Radziwill "Princess Radish"
Posted by: chatoyancy ()
Date: February 18, 2019 00:27

Jackie Kennedy's younger sister Lee, married to Polish Prince Radziwill, was part of the Rolling Stones crowd in the 1970's along with her friends Andy Warhol and Truman Capote. They were Mick's friends. Keith, never impressed by socialites or royalty, called her "Princess Radish". (RIP Lee)
