Maybe he should do that more often today.

Terrible, perhaps that's down to sound quality.

Keith sounds slightly out of tune.

Mick is barking (vocally).

They were very late (10cc's fault) and drunk according to my friend who was there.

Ronnie is the only one that plays nowhere near good here (and he is @#$%& up, too) winking smiley

Not too bad, I kinda like the ramshackle feel to it. It's a little rushed, a little sloppy, but energetic. Ronnie does some decent leads, Billy Preston's piano is good.

I've never listened all that much to the '75-'76 stuff, but everytime someone posts something from those tours here, I think "hey, it's not too bad after all". Perhaps it's down to low expectations from the constant slagging from people here on IORR.

There was definitely an element of punk in the Stones music even at that time, before '78, no matter how bloated they were seen as by the actual punks.

BUt there is a huge difference between 1975 and 1976 and also between 1976 and Knebworth. I love Knebworth but that's partly because of Hot Stuff and their image and they way Keith looked at the time. They dont play bad but sound really really high and out of it. Wouldnt surprise me if Mick was indeed smoking heroin during that era.

Heroin? I was thinking methamphetamine? Coke? Sounds a bit fast?

I actually don't think it's all that bad. I'd love to here them play with energy again.
