Yeah, noticed that also after looking at it closer, and a few mismatched tunes for different artists - see Johnny Winter and Blood Sweat and Tears on Hopkins' list for example.
Thought it looked odd that Johnny would play Spinning Wheel haha (and I have a live Johnny at Woodstock cd), and Blood, Sweat and Tears playing only Mean Town Blues!

The woodstock cops were Wavy Gravy and those psyhedilic bus folks from San Franciso. Truly and really; he had a 'badge' of some kind and everything.
There were people helping out kids who were inexperienced with 'trippy' substances; and treated them with securing humor and love.

Tho there were, of course, NY state and local police in somewhat emergency conditions; handled themselves more like parents than cops looking to take
anyone down....they were mostly on the perimeters though; it was pretty self-contained; and huge. You have to try to imagine like about 6 to 10 stadiums or something; more people than the residents of the State of Vermont at the time, I was told.

My personal experience with Hugh, (wavy gravy) when I was 18 for about a month at the time, was he gently insisted on walking me to the Med Tent for a tetnous (sp?) shot after I had been lightly bit by a field mouse, haha, that I was removing from someone's tent, after hearing deathless shrieking in the field.

It was so tiny and gentle; I was marveling at it, holding it gently in my hand with wonder, when the little field mouse bit your Hopkins, yes he did.
It hardly drew one half drop of blood, but Wavy was determined; and sweet; and busy; and funny as hell. gentle. And, after all, I didn't hurt it or anything; it got a little flying lesson was all. i got the shot; back to the girl with the cat on the leash; then Hopkins had a cat on a leash. Perhaps one of the few newly 'legal' young man presents, with that dubious distinction. I dug that cat, man. That cat was a trip, man. The chick was pretty cool too; I don't know why she left me with the cat on the leash or where she went; that was one of the thoughts I was thinking of having but the music was so good, and I had the cat; so who cares. She came back at some point. That was pretty cool. "Hey," I said. She said "Hey," too; and it was a great groove; she was cool, I dug her.

My friend Bill (RIP) told a story of how he rode to Woodstock with his friend Mike who worked for Joshua Lights. Mike had a station wagon full of trunks which carried lighting gear. After they got stuck in traffic, they flagged down a New York state trooper. Mike told him they had emergency medical supplies, which would be ruined if they were exposed to light. They got a police escort backstage.

Jimi Hendrix was the Man at Woodstock 69, probably one of his best performances ever!

I'm sure most people had a good time.

The movie comes on from time to time. I have recorded it and given it another (and another) look. There is much to cringe about. Much of that period has not aged well, but as someone who lived through it: You had to be there. Musically, however, I recommend it to younger viewers, but I find little that I want to see again. CSN's Suite Judy Blue Eyes is wonderful. There is a moment when the harmonies kick in and the performance is sublime. BTW: NY was there and did perform, but he would not allow a release with him in it. And then there's Jimi's spot. The size of the crowd takes nothing away from the master guitarist or his performance.

The woodstock cops were Wavy Gravy and those psyhedilic bus folks from San Franciso. Truly and really; he had a 'badge' of some kind and everything.
There were people helping out kids who were inexperienced with 'trippy' substances; and treated them with securing humor and love.

Tho there were, of course, NY state and local police in somewhat emergency conditions; handled themselves more like parents than cops looking to take
anyone down....they were mostly on the perimeters though; it was pretty self-contained; and huge. You have to try to imagine like about 6 to 10 stadiums or something; more people than the residents of the State of Vermont at the time, I was told.

My personal experience with Hugh, (wavy gravy) when I was 18 for about a month at the time, was he gently insisted on walking me to the Med Tent for a tetnous (sp?) shot after I had been lightly bit by a field mouse, haha, that I was removing from someone's tent, after hearing deathless shrieking in the field.

It was so tiny and gentle; I was marveling at it, holding it gently in my hand with wonder, when the little field mouse bit your Hopkins, yes he did.
It hardly drew one half drop of blood, but Wavy was determined; and sweet; and busy; and funny as hell. gentle. And, after all, I didn't hurt it or anything; it got a little flying lesson was all. i got the shot; back to the girl with the cat on the leash; then Hopkins had a cat on a leash. Perhaps one of the few newly 'legal' young man presents, with that dubious distinction. I dug that cat, man. That cat was a trip, man. The chick was pretty cool too; I don't know why she left me with the cat on the leash or where she went; that was one of the thoughts I was thinking of having but the music was so good, and I had the cat; so who cares. She came back at some point. That was pretty cool. "Hey," I said. She said "Hey," too; and it was a great groove; she was cool, I dug her.
