I don't know about that. There is some resemblance. But not that much. But sure, with the right make-up... Anyway, I would not like to see a movie about the young Mick Jagger. No need for that.

Or the grown up Sam if they bring back Freaks & Geeks.

Yes, the grown up Sam, working in his father's sporting goods store. When I watched F and G, I was struck how much he looked like a pre-teen Mick.

As Mick's childhood seems to have been pretty conformist and stable I can't see a full length movie being made. Unlike John Lennon who was the subject of the very good 'Nowhere Boy'.
I suppose eventually after Mick has made his final exit (and the lawyers can be seen off) a full length biopic might be made.
IF it has the commercial appeal...which might be doubtful (a made for TV film perhaps).
Johnny Depp as Mr Richards of course...full make up required but no vocal coaching required.

How about Harry Styles or James Jagger? (I know this would never happen but James definitely has "the look".)

in the James Brown film MJ co-produced, there's a scene where an actor playing Jagger is standing watching James Brown, that actor would be good if he is actually an actor...

For me it’s definitely Jemaine Clement in the tv series „flight of the concords“!
He even talks like Mick

Definitely. I thought there was news a few years back that he was tapped for a Stones biopic set in the 1960s, but I guess nothing came of it, or maybe it was just wishful thinking. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Remember being quite impressed with James for his role in “VINYL”; and yep, there (surely, how else could it be) is resemblance. But then again, I double-checked just now: and he looks (so) much more like his mom then like his dad...

Anyway: I remember Harry Styles being mentioned before - and yes, he does (or maybe: did, by now?! I haven’t seen any recent pictures of him...) have quite a good resemblance to the young Mick Jagger in his early twenty-somethings.

I don’t want to watch anyone play a young/ medium or dry Mick Jagger.
Nope.
No.
There is only 1,
it’s laughable to think of someone trying to seriously pull it
off. Sorry. To me. Maybe not to the masses. Remember how well Princess Diana or Princess Grace movies have tried with excellent actresses/ Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman, respectively. They bombed/ couldn’t pull it off.
Same thing.

Besides, all he’s really shown us is his professional side.
So it would be a RS cover band,
with guess work in between or lines acted out of the Darford train Keith records I mean it’s all at the Exitbition now innit? With the smelly flat to boot.

You are right, imo, 35love.
I still remember how cringeworthy the ‘1969 Mick Jagger’ looked in the (overall cringeworthy) flick “Stoned”... (not to mention ‘Lord Brian’ himself!!)

Oh well - I guess there always will be ‘doc’ movies around - so we’ll always need actors to play the main characters involved; whether they look the part or not. And the more unique the character, the more impossible to find a more-or-less-look-alike... let alone: ‘incarnation’.

It CAN be done. For example:
-Helen Mirren played Queen Elizabeth 2 (The Audience)
-Rupert Everett played Oscar Wilde (The Happy Prince)
-Hugh Grant played Jeremy Thorpe in a recent 3 part TV production

These are ones that come to mind, many others.
However, Mick does seem to be an individual who would be a challenge, for even the best of actors. In the Stoned film, the only decent actor was Paddy Considine...the builder. The rest were very weak. Maybe the budget didn't allow for top flight actors.
Also, it may be a question of timing..so in 50 years time perhaps? But then would there be the interest?
Frank Sinatra certainly had an 'interesting' life...not sure if there have been any full length cinema release biopics though?

Yeah; Helen Mirren came to my mind as well...
And the girl that did a young Queen Elisabeth in the tv series “The Crown”... nice job as well!
So surely yes; it can be done.
Gonna be extremely difficult, though... (as you pointed out yourself as well.)
And, interesting observation about Sinatra as well; there’s yet another one of the sheer imossible to lay down Great Ones.

None of those actors had to sing!

Remember THAT part? The 1 of a kind distinguished voice on the most popular music of all time?

It would be a bloody cover band.
