Jimmy Hall is so talented, singer, harp, sax, frontman, toured with Jeff Beck, well respected in the industry - here's the old days

Prior to seeing him with Jeff Beck a couple of times, had no idea who he was.
Then learned he was the singer for Wet Willie, and the only tune I knew from them was this hit from '74:

Keep On Smilin'

heard his song 'Rendezvous with the Blues' recently, and I was reminded. I think the radio host on Sirius knew Jimmy Hall, said Hall is a regular performer in small clubs in Nashville.

that would be great to catch one of those shows..

Jimmy's great and Wet Willie was an exceptionally soulful band.

Check out Leona, Dixie Rock, Lucy Was In Trouble, Teaser, and Macon Hambone Blues (among others) if ya get a chance.

Jimmy is awesome, he’s been playing harp and sax in Hank jr’s band for a few years now.
I was talking to him after a show once and I said “I remember you going all the way back to the 70’s.” Thinking he’d caught a bullshitter he said he’d only been with Hank off and on since the 80s.
I said “Well,I liked that old Wet Willie band a lot”-he laughed and signed a piece of paper that was sitting on the table.”keep on smilin,Jimmy Hall”and gave it to me.
After I left I realized I completely forgot to ask him about Jeff Beck.
