Way back I read that book about him and the Doors and he was quite the eccentric chap to say the least .Used to listen to a lot of the Doors so long ago, they sure did have a lot of good tunes .

The very first alvum I ever bought was the Doors first Lp & from that point I was hooked deep!
Got every album after that, book, tons of bootlegs which I still have.

Great lyrics, music, story, THE quintessential rock band

Love this band, have done since the "In Concert" album was released in the early 90s. Great Band.

I think it was at the Bowl when even some of the bandmembers were asking themselves if Jim was ok for not moving anymore.

in my opinion their last two albums, "Morrison Hotel" and "LA Woman", are their best. Similar to the Stones getting back to their roots starting with "Beggars Banquet", I feel they were on an upswing that could have brought us a lot more great music.
