The festival grounds is the infield of the Fair Grounds horse-racing track.
Sets range from 45 minutes for smaller acts to two hours for the headliners.

Here is last year's festival map, but it doesn't change much from year-to-year:

The 'headliners' are pretty weak this year. But lots of cool stuff just under the surface...

Levon Helm with Mavis Staples
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
Steve Earle
The Funky Meters
Little Anthony and the Imperials
Allen Toussaint (who's song 'Fortune Teller' was covered by both the Stones and the Who!)
Trombone Shorty
Bobby Rush

All would be cool to see.

I see Chuck is playing with his 'friends'. I am guessing it isn't the Stones. That also leads me to believe no tour or rehearsals going in for the band in April/May.

The secondary stages are really where it's at. More room to dance and party. And a handy tip... the Grandstand building has REAL washrooms!

I am actually impressed to the Nth for your food booth list....
BUT IT MAKES ME HUNGRY!! NOW!!

Some of the best food I have ever eaten, anywhere, was from the temp
kitchen set up by K-Pauls chefs in the alley next to his restaurant during
Mardi gras... it was served on lil sampler plates, and not cheap... but it
was breakfast and lunch every day for 4 days.... way back during my Mardi Gras days.....
some of the best food I have ever tasted...

There remain two artists TBA. One is the Beach Boys. The other is a solo artist (who I believe is Aretha Franklin, but I could be wrong).

Aretha's backed out at the last minute two years in a row.

You got inside info ?

In part, yes. I know about the Aretha history (and was backed out on myself), and could very well be wrong about her, but that's my bet.
