Keith singing harmony

The Mick-Keith vocal blend always adds an extra bite to a song.

I’ve been watching some of the videos, and maybe it’s just my imagination, but it seems that Keith is singing more harmony than he has in a while. Is that correct?

He always does on Dead Flowers, LSTNT, Sweet Virginia and Wild Horses.

We all should be very happy. In 2002/2003 there was Blondie playing guitar under the stage and providing backup vocals. Now it's just so much more raw and real (except Clifford in Gimme Shelter)

Love Keiths harmonies. He has the soul.

it's just because the songs he sings harmony are performed more often than last year

I was so pleased (that I ran 20 red lights in his honor, no)
that ‘You Got The Silver’ Keith was alone/ just with Ronnie next to him.
I will cry in the Pit at Twick I fear and hope it played at the same time.
Loooovveee ‘YGTS’ 1,000’s of times I have played that recorded track over/over

Keith’s voice holding up and ringing out after all these years- my goodness

I always felt that there was a lot of country influence in Keith's approach to harmony vocals. The "Buck Owens/Don Rich" style/sound in particular. Matter of fact, I guess Keith is Mick's "Don"! or perhaps the "George Jones/Donnie Young" sound...

thumbs up

Keith's always had a fantastic ear for a harmony.

...and I suspect his training as a chorister when he was a young lad may have more to do with it than some folks might imagine.

The voice may be a little different ! ... but stuff like that stays with you for life. winking smiley
