Just passed. He was a major force in the country music genre before it became something else. I guess he'd be - along with his late father, Earl Scruggs - in the Americana genre today. The first Nitty Gritty Dirt Band "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" album he worked on is an excellent collection of classic country. The stuff he did with his father's revue is great. There's a bunch of his stuff on utoob.
