Doesn't look like something from Facebook, but I hardly look at Facebook anyway.
Why would they announce it there rather than their own site?

Do you have the link that took you to this page?

A broker touting (ouch!) for business from gullible would-be punters and maximising interest by throwing in the 'F' word and talking about shows that are purely speculative. Seems to have worked... eye rolling smiley

That site has NOTHING to do with the Rolling Stones.

I was dumb enough to register - I can't find anything from Stones official sources to confirm. Oh well, I never said I was smart. They won't announce the tour until they announce the tour, I suppose - from a blimp or a train or a flatbed truck or whatever.

Well , I was brave and sent the info . I can always delete that email address that I gave them .

Their reply :
Thanks for your reply on our ticket request site.

The tour has not been signed by The Stones as of this date, but we are in close touch with people handling the affair and are positive that they will be signing a farewell tour during the 2012 year. This will be the 50th anniversary of their musical career together, and it's the most opportune time considering that they're pushing 70 years old, to say goodbye to everyone. So were sure it's going to happen.

Once the tickets go on sale, we're prepared to purchase 100 tickets to the show, whether that be at FedEx Field in Washington DC, M & T Bank Stadium in Baltimore or Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. We feel like it'll probably be FedEx Field, however nothing is for sure until the agreements are signed.

Once we have the tickets will be happy to provide you with the venue location seating chart, seats that we have available and the pricing. Were insured to have some of the best seats in the house regardless of which venue they play.

Thanks for coming on board and you will definitely be the first one notified once we have the tickets in hand.

FedEx Field in Washington DC
M & T Bank Stadium in Baltimore
Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia

Three more reasons to hate capitalism.

I can not believe that the Stones will rehearse for ONE show!

My wish for the point in time when (or if) the band will decide to stop its existence, but would like to do a tour or a couple of shows, please do not call it a farewell. It would be too emotional to fully enjoy the occasion in my view. And I would much prefer that a stop of existence is something that only happens, without being decided on.

Each and every tour I have been to one, two or four concerts since 1981 (in contrast with the situation in 1970 or 1973), I have had in the back of my mind that this might most probably be my last concert experience of the Rolling Stones. That is sufficient disstress on those golden moments, even if it is not announced.

Agreed...far better to live in denial.
