The reason the choir sounded so good on the record to me was that is finally ended and morphed into that lovely acoustic guitar part. Suspense and release kind of thing. I'd prefer just a guitar and maybe a mandolin starting the tune instead. peace

Naysayers be damned - bring on the choir, any choir, for YCAGWYW. It was fantastic to see/hear it on the O2 videos and I hope I get see/hear it at least one of the 2 Newark shows next week.

If its the HarlemChoir then for sure the idea came from here, if not, then still a 75% chance it came from here- good show!

If they had thought about the idea earlier they could have played Salt of the earth (my all-time favourite Stones song, see my name!) alternately with You can't always get what you want along with the choir. It is as catchy a tune, and it is simply a very great song.

Another song that comes to mind is Shine a light, the nearest original Jagger/Richards song to gospel music.

So how was the choir at the Brooklyn concert? Was it the same as in London, or did they use an American choir?

they couldn't help themselves when they opened with:

"I saw her today at the reception...and I said, 'Hey Hayadooin?"
