Eternal Life!

Able to create three dynamite riffs over a three year period with his eyes closed!

Smashes people in the head in an instant with his secret weapon - his guitar!

Can play guitar without even putting his hands near it (at least that's what he thinks)!

A language question: Why are cartoons generally called comics? I mean, cartoons like Superman or Batman can be comical (from an adult's perspective) but they are not comics. Please explain...

I believe comics is a series of printed panels. AKA comic strip. A printed cartoon is only one.

Thanks, but why the name comics when comedy seldom is involved? Cartoon strip, or series would make more sense so to speak.

There's a distinction between comic stirps and comic books (aka graphic novels), once carefully explained to me by a collector friend.

Wikipedia sums it up fairly well:

"The first modern comic book, Famous Funnies, was released in the United States in 1933 and was a reprinting of earlier newspaper humor comic strips, which had established many of the story-telling devices used in comics. The term comic book derives from American comic books once being a compilation of comic strips of a humorous tone; however, this practice was replaced by featuring stories of all genres, usually not humorous in tone."

I bought this comic book when it was published back in '89, and still have it in storage amongst other Stones junk.

You can still buy a new copy for $5.75 (+3.99 shipping) via amazon Stones comics and maybe even less if you look around.
