Muscle Shoals / Exile / Black Crowes sound, with their own twist as well. Strong guitars. The vocalist is superb; surprising range. Given the genre, naming themselves 'Temperance Movement' is ironic, or just suicidal. Very good band.

I was at the Oran Mor Glasgow gig above. I have tired of the album a bit I must say. Not as good as the acts they are mimicking I think.

Seen them twice live and have tickets for the show later this year. Ill stick with em see how they go...

I saw The Temperance Movement with support act: Joshua James in a very good concert, last year. Both acts were really good and the tix price was less then 14,00 Euro.

Good Advice: Do not miss The Temperance Movement when they perform in your area!!

Ah someone is reading and checking them out - funny how they appeared as a support on some gigs on latest tour.

Saw them in Berlin as the warm up act. It was actually pretty good. Second best warm up I've seen at a Stones show, the best being Toots & The Maytals.

I thought they sounded just like early-to-mid-period Zeppelin, but with (mostly) their own material. Enjoyed them a lot.

One of the best opening acts I've seen...

Very, very good album. Recommended!

Also check out The Band Of Heathens for a bit more mellow rootsy sound.

Good bands coming up. Like it! thumbs up

I thought they were fantastic. Ordered their album off of Amazon the day after I got home. Been listening to them on youtube a lot too.

I haven't looked into it, but a guy behind me at the Dusseldorf show said the singer has been around for a little bit. Anyone heard his earlier stuff?

because of The Rolling Stones, I saw them now 3x more. But their best show was for me their club show in 2013.

This band should get the same big support from the press & media like Lady Gaga or other plastic popstars. The Temperance Movement are real music talents.

Good band. I really enjoyed them opening for the Stones.

If they ever play the States, I'd go in a heartbeat.

what do you think of these band two and a half years after they supported the Stones in 2014? I don't think they get the support from the press which they deserve. Their first album was fantastic and their second comes really close to that. I saw them 2 times in concert (plus 3 times with our boys) over the last year and have tickets for the WDR Rockpalast TV recordings in March in Bonn. Maybe some of you will be there?

After not one person responded to my two recent posts in this thread I'll give it a third (and last) try smiling smiley

They just started their tour and I have now tickets for 5 shows and I hope that some of you will see their shows too because. They have a new album and here is one song from it. It reminds me of the early Rod Stewart stuff. What do you think of it?

Great band, one of the best supports I have ever seen - they made the waiting for The Stones in 2014 much more plasant that the support bands The Stones had the last year (De Staadt in Amsterdam was one of the worst things that I have witnessed ever). I would go to see them, but we already go to a theatre the evening they play Prague. It is a pitty.
