i have friends who played there a lot too --- too bad they recently closed the place. tiny stage! i was living in seattle during this surprise stones show, unfortunately.

Is it the uncut or the "broadcast"/cleaned-up version?
In the uncut longer version you can see extra controversial footage : Jagger is counting the beer money in cash and he puts rolls of green in his pockets, Don Was is clipping his toe nails backstage and right before the gig starts Darryl Jones is pushed out of the spotlight by a roadie with the order to "not move one inch" during the whole perf.

Maybe if I say it enough someone will finally listen-
The Stones need to hire someone to act as a curator and gather up all this footage and make sure nothing happens to it.
There are countless hours of interviews,rehearsals,club shows,tour kickoffs etc that need to be preserved.
There is a documentary of 76 with backstage footage that lasts about an hour that could be combined with Knebworth that would make a great dvd.
Look at this club show,that’s the bridges tour right? Start with the press conference,the band driving in the old red car,talking to the press on the shore add the club show,some interviews.its endless what they could do.
You’d need a fan to do it right though,someone like video James.the band would F it up and probably refuse to pay some tv station a few bucks for some priceless footage.

I do indeed. I remember reading back then that the band's fees for the night was half the venue's revenue in beer that night. So the band pocketed in like 350$ (iirc).

One of the most memorable days in my "stones career".
We flew in that day from germany for the tour opening and rehearsals.
Finally in the hotel, we learned in the afternoon from TV that there is a club gig.
Went there, of course too late to get in, but we heard the show from outside,
right at the open back door.
What a surprise gig!

I did not know the setlist. I still don’t know complete list, and I will not look it up.
I’ll do what I always do,
listen while climbing hills and sidewalks
viewing CA terrain sunshine state no video watching outside moving
However, Ronnie Wood pulled me up short twice to check guitar
at ‘Crazy Mama’ (and I hope other pedestrians don’t think I’m crazy smiling and laughing to myself behind sunglasses)
AND holy F ‘Anybody Seen My Baby’
the liquor from this show I could taste in my own mouth

Once I peeked at ‘ASMB’ I couldn’t pull my eyes away.
I thought for sure the red shirt would come off at ‘Out Of Control’
