What if, 50 years after Altamont, the Stones played the premier US Summer Music Festival, Bonnaroo?

Eh, seems to me that they would've done it back when it was more relevant, if they were to play that kind of festival at all.

I would think bands like the Stones and U2, for whatever reason, won't play festivals like Bonnaroo and the New Orleans Jazz Fest (and certainly loads of others) is because there's not enough money involved.

Artists of that stature (Bruce Springsteen is a good example, there are a few others) that play Jazz Fest generally agree to a lot less money than what they're making on tour to play.

If the Stones were to play Bonaroo in 2019, my house (an hour & a half away) would be turned into an IORR exclusive (maybe some Shdoobee special guests), multi-day, pre-show gathering site. IORR Band (or TBFKATIB ) on the poolside stage, BBQ, Booze, R&R, R&B & Blues 24 hours a day for as long as necessary/possible!

After typing all of that, that seems like a party I might have to throw even without the Stones at Bonaroo... It will by my 50th birthday next year and I could probably justify throwing a big party for that reason as well!

U2 played Bonnaroo last year.
