A good old friend of mine gave me this copy of SF (with working zipper) tonight. It's in really nice used condition. Not looking to sell, or interested in its value really, but I'd like to know what year it was issued?

Very lightly scratched in the dead wax I see Side 1, ST-RS-712189-E, SIDE 2, ST-RS-712190-E. Both sides also have a light scratch reading "Rolling sTones Records" .

The sticker pic is from the publicity photo sessions for Emotional Rescue, so probably 1980 or '81.

It's a badge, not a sticker and it's nothing to do with the record.
I'm no expert but I would say it's possibly an original pressing pressed by Presswell Records in New Jersey.
Later pressings had "Distributed by Atlantic" rather than Atco.

RSR moved from Broadway to Rockfeller Center in 1973 (August, more or less).
Even if one can accept that the chance of address on labels happened at the sale time, some autumn copies of 'Angie' already present the new R'feller Centre address.
So: you've received a copy manufactured at Presswell Records (-PR), between 1971 and circa 1973.
No need to say, Ron Wood was placed in a parer time.
In case you don't accept my dating, you have to remember that the cat. no. was changed in sight of the 1979 re-issue: 1971-1978, not more thank this.

Definitely an original Presswell Plant press with that catalog # and label address.


You need to unzip the zipper halfway or it will cause scuffing on your vinyl.
