wonder what is up with neil, selling off all of this stuff. he doesn't look super well on the vid of the last week's concert. worried.

Have to say I thought the same crholmstrom...

Could be just a realization of 'can't take it with you when you go" given his health issues of the past, and the passing of many others in recent years. Sort of a cleaning house situation.
I sometimes think that even at my age, and I'm nearly 20 years younger than he is (and in good health). Anyhow, hope that's all it is.

Neil has always looked like that. He just looks like himself, only older. I saw a little of the concert on streaming, and I thought he looked just fine.

He's getting a divorce. Since it will be a community property settlement, most likely, he has to give Peg half of what he acquired since they married. At least some of his net worth is tied to his collections of valuable items. Auctioning them off will result in cash. Also, he's at the age when maybe some of those items are things he has less motive or time to play with, such as the trains. His heirs may not want to hang onto them. His fans get a chance to enjoy them while he's still alive, which is part of his stated motive for selling them.
