It's been a long time... request for help - Enschede In Holland
Date: November 8, 2011 22:32

I'm off to Enschede in Holland in a few weeks. Can anyone please tell me how easy it is to get from the city centre to the FC Twente stadium? Also, what is their to do in the city centre?

Cheers in advance.

My thoughts exactly. First Honestman and now you. Hopefully UrbanSteel will be back too.

Back to your question -- Sorry, I am American and don't know how to get from the city centre to the FC Twente stadium.

Greetings from the Jersey Shore.

Bejesus, Sir Craven. Congrats to the only team to have taken points off us so far this season. And that after being 2-0 down. Good luck.

From the city center (Central Bus Station) you can go by bus (line 1) to the Grolsch Veste.
You can also take the train from central trainstation for a four minute ride to Enschede Drienerlo.
The Grolsch Veste is right beside the Enschede Drienerlo station.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

There's a train to the stadium and University, leaving every 15 minutes. It's just a five minute ride.

What's there to do in the city..I studied there four years, but I never figured out what there is to do...There's the 'Oude Markt', with a couple of students cafe's, so you can drink beer and have some cheap food. That's really it.

The only real attraction of Enschede is the train leaving to Amsterdam.

Hi Mathijs, curious what you studied there for 4 years besides 6 strings and 6 packs? peace.

Been fishing, have you?

I know nothing about Enschede, but it's nice to have you around again.

While waiting for the train to Amsterdam, you just might want to relax a bit in Cafè Mix:

Nice. Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering for me. Although I was on the 9 semester plan. Worked with alot of ChemE's at a couple oil companies afterwards , another life. Physics was something all disciplines had to pass before moving on to their degree named branch. Not many I knew studied it beyond the Halliday and Resnick 3 classes requirements, except grad students. It's pretty much all the same at that level on many levels as you well know. Using your degree(s) these days ? peace.
