I've seen Steely Dan three or four times in the last few years too ...
You're right:
Drummer Keith Carlock is a "monster" (meant in a good way)
Guitarist Jon Herrington is stellar
Freddie Washington grooves and funky on the bass

In the Fagen-Becker partnership, how much credit goes to each man?

Is there really much difference between a Steely Dan show and Fagen solo? I saw Steely Dan last year and Becker shredded some guitar, but Fagen & Steely Dan always use top notch musicians so I'm not sure you'd notice.

From The Wall Street Journal
Other cover songs are planned for the tour. "I put Chuck Berry's You Can't Catch Me in a minor key and changed the feel," Mr. Fagen said. "We're also doing the Grateful Dead's Shakedown Street. It's a really nice, funky tune."

I'm looking at photos of him and I don't even see how his teeth are that bad. He's got a pretty prominent overbite but they're not mangled or rotting by any stretch.Quote

He's a performer on stage. No one wants to look at a trench mouth singing. Gross. That's what the hell. Geeez. Even Keith had his teeth fixed.
Hmm, that is odd. He did have that domestic violence incident with his wife a couple of years ago, which was rather unexpected. Maybe he's in a bad place emotionally.Quote

When I saw Steely Dan last year her was missing a few teeth. It did look bad. I hope that he got them fixed.
