It's not a "typeface" (font)... It's hand-lettered.

This can usually be determined by looking at all the occurrences of a particular letter, let's say "R" for example. If the letters' shapes are not all identical, (in most cases) it's hand-lettered, not a font.

Schillid is right ...but if you want a font name that comes close, it's "Brush stroke font vector" grinning smiley
Or just a simple fhpbl "free handed painted block letter"

Hmmm, any links to a download of it? Would be interested to see how this new "hand-lettered font" works. For example, how it can strike 3 different-looking "R"s in a row. Something to do with the new Mayan calendar starting tomorrow, perhaps? winking smiley

Hardly. But I have always thought it's Mick's writing on the cover and inner sleve of Exile on Main St. Is that correct?

It's an approximation by computer of Jagger's handwriting as seen on the covers of Exile and Love You Live.

I read somewhere, I think here on IORR, that it was Keith's handwriting on the cover of Exile.

Well, we can assume that it wasn't Bill Wyman's handwriting... Because if it was Bill's handwriting, it would all have been erased on the re-release.

The original is not a TT font. It's been drawn by a graphic designer.

However, is this any good? (I called it Gregory!)

You're welcome. I bet you missed it in the search because by default it searches only the last 30 days. If you make the window larger, you can search older posts.
