While waiting if there will be any Stones tour I'm glad for the opportunity to see McCartney soon.

I don't see any new dates posted here, but I do see some on Pollstar. Saw him this past summer in NY and it was a great show.

Relaised I'm going to be in Koln on December 1st with my wife so judt biught 2 excellent seats in the pre-sale, block 217 right next to the stage, no extra fees, no "fan club" membership, just a straightforward pre-sale for anyone who goes onto the McCartney site. Our boys could certainly learn from this should they embark on another tour.

Satisfied since 1976

Macca certainly doesn't let the grass grow under his feet.Hope he plays a warm up gig in London before the tour.Mind you ,he doesn't need warming up as he tours a helluva lot.Best wishes to him and his bride for the wedding last Sunday. winking smiley

He hasn't always though. As well as not touring with The Beatles after 1966, the only touring he did between 1976 & 1989 was a short UK tour in late 1979.

Yeah the last few years he has kind of picked and chosen his spots pretty carefully. Without doing a full blown tour.

It's what older rockers like Chuck, Jerry Lee & Little Richard have been doing for years. Makes perfect sense to me too.

awhile back i posted a qoute from jagger that was dated from 2005,right before the bigger bang tour. he said he wanted to tour this way even then but bigger bang turned into a mega-tour.

its almost a sure thing the 2012 tour will look like this.i think mick said something like "ten shows during the summer in the states then on to europe."

Damn, the closest place is about 14 hours of ride from where I live. I would love to see him again so much. Wny not Berlin or Vienna? He somehow circles around Europe, not going to the middle. Looking at the schedule, there is not much chance he would add dates...Too bad for me.

When Springsteen went on the road not long after his first wedding, he ended up running off with, and later marrying, his backup singer, Patti Scialfa.

Somehow, I don't think Macca is going to leave his lovely bride to run off with Abe Laboriel, Jr. (;-)

Why the Stones don't do this instead of a WW tour? I get to see Paul every two years with his mini-tours and then there is the occasional theatre show like the Olympia.

I think the answer is that it must be harder to do for a group than for a solo artist with hired musicians but still, they shoud try it. Or maybe they are thinking of ways to break U2's record, I hope not.

I suspect The Stones will adopt Maccas way of touring. But maybe they will do one more big anniversary tour first? Also, I think Pauls way of touring attracts less tourist. I'm all for that.

Okay, so I got a ticket in the 14th row on the ground floor :-) in Köln. Just this one seat appeared there on the sold-out groud-floor, so I decided to go. Now I have to arrange the flight ticket...this will be an expensive concert for me, but what the hell...

Happy24 do you have a seat chart by chance? I'm trying to figure out where my seat is. The only schematics I've seen show blocks 101,102,103 on the floor in front of the stage, and they don't show rows.

It is at the Eventim.de : [secure.eventim.de]

Click on "Saalplanbuchung" above the prices and the seating-chart appears. Use the "+" button on the right side to enlarge it.
