1969 stage photos

Does anyone have any photos showing the 1969 stage set up from the audience perspective. The only ones that I have seen are one from Detroit and a couple of MSG from the Ethan Russell book. I want to get an idea of what it looked like from the audience....a bare stage with just some curtains behind (or were any in the round like with people sitting behind like some of the 1972 shows?)

I think in 69 they were very much dependent on the venue's stage. The big advance in touring they pioneered in 69 was that they hung the PA, and even had their own PA.

Yeah, true. Well let's see if any photos turn up - I'm really keen to get a sense of what it must have been like in the audience back them ie was it really loud, was the sound good (better or worse than today), could you see the band clearly or was the stage all dark with just a spotlight in Mick (which is how it sometimes looks in the film footage)....

Any info or memories that people could share would be great!

Not a US tour photo, which you probably are intrested in, but a nice stage view from the Hyde Park show:

Incredible pis franzk; the ones you posted, and then on the link. Very cool.
All the folks up on that stage; LOL. Most of them are either known to us, or they look like they belong there. But that kid leaning on the WEM column on Taylor's side. ??? WTF? winking smiley

Scaffolding.... that's the trick! Such simpler times. I have put up and worked on scaffolding when I was a kid.

Needless to say, what a contrast with the 2013 stage.

That was a FANTASTIC series of photos, thanks for the link! Awesome. For me, I missed it all, I was just a kid playing on the streets. It was the summer after grade five. I can't remember a single thing about that summer!

I was 17 back then and I bought every music paper I could find
with pics of that concert and I still have all these papers in the attic.

Keith looks so cool playing that Gibson Flying V.
