The wisdom of Keith

When Mick received his knighthood, I seem to remember Keith remarking that he wouldn't let the monarch come at him with a pointy stick, let alone a sword. Well...

"Princess Beatrice reportedly cuts Ed Sheeran in face while trying to ‘knight’ James Blunt."

So. Yeah.

Obviously not blunt enough.

That was a memorable BBC interview from 2005 that offered more than most in terms of exposing the views Jagger and Richards had for one another, for those who can't recall it.

Keith's not a happy person...

I think the clip proved you can't take most things that Keith says too literally.

Pretty brutal, must be a low point for their relationship

Could be worse--I thought at first that Beatrice actually gets to knight people, and that one of the people she chose was James Blunt. tongue sticking out smiley

Keith has no problem boasting about the fact that his first gig was The Queens coronation though has he?

How Mick has put up with Keiths bullshit all these years I don't know.

He did sing for the Queen, but the coronation bit is a myth. No way would an ordinary school choir have been involved. I'm not sure if it's Keith or someone else who started that legend.

He would have been 9 years old at the time, which also makes it unlikely.

His choir supposedly sang at Queen Elizabeth II coronation in 1953. Is this far fetched?

I believe he (and Choir) sang for the Queen.
But it was 1955, so 2 years after the Coronation.
Still, it was Westminster Abbey, so not a bad gig for an 11 year old!

Off the subject a little... but the importance of Keith's schooling as a chorister shouldn't be underestimated.

It's probably what nurtured his incredible feel for harmony & counterpoint.
