Did anyone here actually car / tent camp for "Desert Trip"?

I was just wondering if so how were the showers, restrooms etc.

Also heard there was a lot of stuff to do for fun in the camping areas

The concerts were a couple weekends ago, so you're too late

Car camping was Great!!!
Had an amazing four nights in the desert (Thur- Mon) for DT2.

So easy- and nice to linger after the concerts, no cars or shuttles, grab a bite etc. Showers were really good ($10 tho)- Sani-cans were mixed.. Really good fun in the camping center- And easy to line up early for the concerts which enabled me to grab the rail for Friday nights (fantastic) show!!

Were there long lines for the shower?

Are the places in the shower /rest rooms for the gals to do their thing ...hair...make up etc?

Yes, car camping was indeed great, with a friendly neighborhood vibe; such a deal for only $99 covering entire weekend. (We arrived DT1 Lot 4 car camping zone early Thursday afternoon.)

The only times we saw long shower lines were the afternoons before the shows. Oddly, they shut down nearly all of the non-deluxe shower trailers at 2 pm, reopening at 7:00 pm or so. After 2 pm the guys lines then began to get very long (15-20+ in line outdoors during prime heat) for the next few hours.

(Not sure if they changed this closure period during DT2; it got plenty of complaints during DT1.)

I was told by staff the "deluxe" showers ($10) had air-conditioning and electrical power outlets, but I used the regular units, which were great for hot water in morning and cold water in afternoon.
