Mick Jagger to Be a Dad Again at Age 72

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is set to be a dad again at age 72, Billboard has confirmed.

Jagger is expecting a child with 29-year-old ballerina girlfriend Melanie Hamrick -- his eighth and her first. The Sun was the first to report the news. Jagger and Hamrick began dating in 2014.

The news comes not even two months after the news that Jagger's Stones bandmate Ronnie Wood welcomed twins at age 68.

Jagger has only been married once, to Bianca Jagger, with whom he had daughter Jade. He currently has seven children with four women, including four kids -- daughter Lizzie, son James (who starred in HBO's Vinyl), daughter Georgia and son Gabriel -- with longtime partner Jerry Hall.

The Rolling Stones are set to play the inaugural Desert Trip in Indio, Calif., for back-to-back weekends in October and also have one date scheduled for Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena later that month.

omg he's done it again...

the people who are complaining about Ronnie being selfish for having kids are gonna have all sorts of things to say about this....personally i think if you're in a position to be able to provide for them, have as many kids as you want! all the best for them!

Mick seems to spend time with all his kids and that is a very good thing.

He'll probably be alive for the next 25 years. Why not?

I am true to MJ, sincere and longstanding with my fondness, so I will share
to me, once a woman is pregnant, the new life/ baby is already here,
so to speak, therefore ONLY good wishes to be sent.
Just from reading Melanie's professional bio,
here is a clearly bright, incredibly hardworking from a young age gal,
who has had quite a career self made.
At 29, she seems independent and responsible (and lovely)
If I was 29, never married no kids already had my successful career
would I want to have Mick Jagger's baby?
Um, yeah, I would, ha ha. Plus let's not forget NO birth control is 100% except abstain.
He's a stud, what can ya say, and makes beautiful children.

Indeed he does have beautiful kids...

As I said, if he is good with this so am I (not that what I, or any of the usual suspects clucking hens, thinks matters)
But I would bet money Mick is good with this.

Doesn't this always mean more touring?

It sounds like the relationship is basically over. They will have a baby. He will be a great dad and pay the bills but they will not live together. She will either go to LA or back to CT where she has family. The new arrival will not impede his lifestyle at all.
It will be fine. She'll make a name for herself for 15 minutes and he'll continue to chase skirts around the world. Oh yes, and he's going to re-release his third solo album with bonus tracks and a different title. "WANDERING PENIS"
