Wow , what a great deal you got . That was like hitting a small progressive slot machine at the casino . One sold yesterday for around $600.00 US .

I was able to get this one last night for $30.00 , they usually go for about $100.00..

Japanese issue Wild Horses / Sway

Very cool! I haven't started collecting any Japanese vinyl really...I kind of thought that was a can that I didn't want to get near, for fear of how much it would end up costing!

I have got a few copies of Wild Horses, including two white label promos.

I think those are fairly obscure as well.

And yes...the stars were in alignment that EARLY morning when I was able to get Heart of Stone.

I call this..."The Brown Sugars":

3 white label promos, and 2 white label test pressings. Both sides Brown Sugar, MONO/Stereo.

I bought these over a 3 year period...I think I was the only person that was winning these on EBAY for awhile! (I'm feeling much better now, thank you)

Cool! I also have those...I bought She Was Hot when it first came out, and then the Brown Sugar picture disc on Ebay a few years ago.

Do you have a lot of RS vinyl?

PS,

I noticed your Brown Sugar is (ironically) getting brown...I've noticed that a lot for that pressing. Doesn't seem to happen to the She Was Hot.

I wonder what the issue is/was?

I picked up most of my stuff over 10 years ago, from a couple of used record stores, which are now gone.

Sad to see the record stores dwindle...we have a few left...they are indies, but rarely do you find anything interesting and always overpriced.

Hard to believe that even CD's are old technology and soon to be obsolete!

GOOD ONE!

And thanks for posting your rarities Boston...the only one I have from that bunch, is the Italian "Con Le Mie Lacrime".

What is the story with the Angie/Cherry Oh Baby 45? I've never heard of that combo...what country is it from? Was it released in '76?

It is an Italian issue promotional 45 , I believe it was made for jukebox play . The vinyl is very thick and rather heavy

Her is a scan of the vinyl and back side of the sleeve .

I have a question. I talked to a lady of half Spanish origin today and I remembered that Stones lps/singles had the titles either translated or with the translation in brackets added. When did that start (Stones forbidden under Franco?!) and when (if) ended that under "globalization aspects". Are these the same versions for spanish speaking countries outside Europe too and did they receive the all-English US/UK versions?

And from the " Have You seen Your Mother Baby Standing In The Shadow Collection "

I have approximately 1500 Stones 45s from all over the world .I've been collecting a long , long while .
Will post more tomorrow smileys with beer

I don't fully understand your query . I have scanned an example of a Spanish 1972 release . Hope this helps .

Have at it treacle, grab that ebay vinyl. I am salivating, but sideline sitting.

These days/times seems like good times for buyers of collectables (if one currently has the spendable money, which I dont). Just one other buyer on ebay can ruin a good deal. So, have at it,,,, grab those discs, they seem priced right... unless 2 (or 3) buyers get into a bidding war.

Juts to be clear... I am on your side, rooting in a positive way, hoping you are the lone bidder Merry Christmas smiling smiley

Looking forward to it...I just counted, I have 456 vinyl stones 45's.

I have a number from around the world, but I've limited myself primarilty to UK, US and Canadian releases.

I have about 50 45's of the solo stuff mostly Mick Keith and Wyman.

I call this, a pair'o'wild horses:

Interesting because they are rare promos. Also interesting, is that one is white label on both sides and one is blue label on both sides.

Most of the 70's and early 80's promos are the same, white on one side (mono), and blue on the other side (stereo).

For both these Wild Horses singles though, they are stereo on both sides, the difference being a long, and a short version of Wild Horses.

Further interesting, on the blue label, it shows the songs lengths as being 3:25 & 5:41 whereas the white label shows 3:25 and 5:38.

The stereo version is just the album version, right?

I believe so...I can't say I've even played it. It is a radio promo...I don't believe there was another 'officially' released version of Brown Sugar, other than the 'error' on the initial pressings of Hot Rocks, the famed "Shelly" version.

Wild Horses promo has the short and long versions, which is even more interesting.

Hmmm...seems as though they were just poorly made in that case or the materials used were poor.

I have 2 copies of She Was Hot and both are fine.

USA pressing - PR 316

I have this, too. I paid $35 in 1978, which was kind of a lot back then.
