Lovely Boston...yes, you had to have that!

Were there any other Greek coloured 45s or is it just that one, We Love You?

Yours doesn't look scratched Boston2006, lucky guy. They are really nice records, maybe my favorite 45 in the collection. Only to look at though.

That's the only multicolored Greek one that I own .

I do have a " Mixed Emotions " demo on red vinyl .

Also " The Last Time / Play With Fire " blue vinyl
" The Last Time / Play With Fire " red vinyl
" LSTNT / Ruby Tuesday " green vinyl

The last 3 are on the " Sunrise Label "

Thanks kindly Jan...do you happen to know, are there other 'original' country issues like this from elsewhere for the 60s, or was Greece the only country.

I know Canada did the coloured vinyl for some select London singles in the late 70s I think, on the 'sunrise label'.

I love to see this one. I can't find any info...

I've scanned the 45 , it is rather hard to see the red though .

This scan I shine a pen light through the vinyl , still very faint .
The light is behind the white spot next to the label in the lower left hand corner .

If you hold the 45 up to a light it comes through much better .

These scans do not show color very well at all

On a brighter note I have just purchased , this one on ebay .

A bit off subject but I have not recieved any answers in the Stones rarities forum so I thought I'd ask here .

I don't know if this story is true , but I took a chance on this .

Here is the story that goes along with these .

This is a very unique set of promotional "Rolling stones" This set of "stones" were given to various advertising agencies from the Arrow radio station in 1997 to promote the "Rolling Stones Bridges to Babalyon" tour.

These are real engraved "stones" with what you see engraved upon them. They are not simply painted, but the titles are engraved into the rocks.

You can see exactly what you are getting. This is the complete set. Originally they came in a small bag, but the bag fell apart.

Arrow radio was an FM solid oldies Station in Los Angeles. These rocks were their attempt to get the various media suppliers onboard to promote the tour.

I don't know how many of these "rolling stones" they made. The rocks themselves are pretty cool. The Bridges to Babalyon tour was a classic Rolling Stones Event.

Please offer any insight as to the authenticity , thanks

Thanks!. Well, it's more a translucent vinyl single than a coloured vinyl single. The same happens with some US singles form the same era, and some Mexican ones... I can't remember right now, but I think I know of more.

I know I've got vinyl like that as well...can't remember what it is though.

Is that the property of virgin vinyl, being translucent?

I don't think it is 'red' though.

Maybe it just picks up a " red " tone when a light shines through it .

Who knows ??

Anyone seen this before? Australian bootleg of the '78 tour which only has a few songs on it, thinking of buying it.

Thanks Boston, is that a bootleg, or is it actually a fan club promo? I was never too sure about that release and I don't actually have it.

postage for a 45 is brutal though!

Here is something I came across because of an earlier post of yours...fantastic complete set of stones US pic sleeves.

Only thing they don't have is SFM (of course) but they give you a 'faux version' of it:

Greetings all, new member. I am amazed at some of the items posted here. I don't have anything as obscure or rare shown in this thread, other than England's Newest Hit Makers and Between The Buttons on RTR tape. From what I can tell, boston2006 has all of the London albums on tape. Quite an impressive collection!

I also have a copy of Between The Buttons on vinyl with dark red/maroon labels with dull silver. Most of the mono pressings I've seen have the bright red/reflective silver labels. Probably not rare though.

G'd evening.

Too many jou-jou people around here and not very many collectors and I don't want to start a new topic for this so I just keep going on here. Coz this is something that may interest collectors of UK vinyls only.

Anyone ever been wondering why Big Hits and Satanic UK pressings has blue labels for mono and green labels for stereo?
Definition as per Decca management in the 60's
Red mono and blues stereo label LP's = second level raw material vinyl, may partly be reused vinyl. Used for rubbish modern pop music
Blue mono and green stereo label LP's = virgin high quality vinyl used for classical real music.

This info is directly from a person who used to work at the Decca pressing plant in the 60's....

Another mystery solved smiling smiley
