How Long Can MIck Jagger Continue To Fool Father Time?

Yeah, he may have the facial wrinkles of a 68 year old, but it appears he has the heart, mind, and lungs of a twenty year old! I thought I read somewhere recently that he runs eight miles a day! Is this true? His father lived well into his 90's and there is no reason to think that Mick won't do the same when you consider his current condition nearing 70 years old. With or without the Stones this guy isn't stopping anytime soon! He has also kept his voice in remarkable shape. Is it possible we will see this guy still being Jumpin Jack Flash at 75? Wouldn't surprise me in the least!

Not with cocaine eyes...
His heart is going to explode and Keith will make a smoothe out of it!

To bad Elvis didn't keep himself in better shape.

It seems like all of the Stones' parents lived long lives. Brian's mother is apparently still alive in her 90's and his dad died just a couple of years ago, Mick and Keith's parents also lived to late 80's early 90's so there are some tough genes all around. Mick is in good shape because he can afford to take the best care of himself and is very disciplined about doing it, sort of like Madonna. I don't know if it's a matter of fooling Father Time or being blessed by him?

Yes, star crossed in pleasure, the stream flows on by
Yes, as we're sated in leisure, we watch it fly

And time waits for no one, and it won't wait for me
And time waits for no one, and it won't wait for me

Time can tear down a building or destroy a woman's face
Hours are like diamonds, don't let them waste

Time waits for no one, no favors has he
Time waits for no one, and he won't wait for me

Men, they build towers to their passing yes, to their fame everlasting
Here he comes chopping and reaping, hear him laugh at their cheating

And time waits for no man, and it won't wait for me
Yes, time waits for no one, and it won't wait for me

Drink in your summer, gather your corn
The dreams of the night time will have vanished by dawn

And time waits for no one, and it won't wait for me
And time waits for no one, and it won't wait for me

No no no, not for me....

He was certainly blessed with good genes, but eventually Father Time catches up to even the fleetest of foot. I read somewhere that *most* people if they do all the right things and are a little lucky should live to 90 and then after that it's all down to genes how far they will make it past that mark. Jack LaLanne certainly did all the right things as far as diet and exercise were concerned and he lived to 96. Of course there are the exceptions who do all the wrong things and still clear 90, obviously they had some awfully good genes working in their behalf, of course if they had done all the right things maybe they would have cleared 100. Who really knows? One thing for sure is Mick appears to have both going in his favor so maybe he is around and doing amazing things when he is in his nineties? Not so sure about the rest of the fellas.

How Long Can MIck Jagger Continue To Fool Father Time?

SuperHeavy can certainly also be seen as a career-extending move,
if they achieve big success. A fraction of the performing
responsibilities, a fraction of the vocal wear-and-tear,
super-supportive bandmates and fans. Plus keep the Stones
on life-support (that is, no big tours) as an occassional
celebratory side project.

Genius.

The bigger question is how long will "Rockman" continue to fool father time. Have you seen him lately?

I didn't say it hasn't (& the same applies to Cliff & Mick to some extent), but he still has incredible energy & is in very fine shape for a man in his mid 80s. Check out this short clip from earlier this month:

I don't know many people of nearly 85 who can even stand up for a hour, let alone sing, play guitar & occasionally scoot across the stage.

Keith is more of a mystery, because for half a century he has subjected his body to an onslaught of abuse via drugs, alcohol, chainsmoking, and a poor-average diet.

Let's hope some of that was just part of the act of being Keith Richards. He looks really good these days, or at least much better than he did towards the end of ABB>

As much as I hope Keith will enjoy a long, serene old age, I think it's not long before we will hear that he has a terminal illness related to smoking and/or drinking.

Unless you have some confirmed inside information, and are breaking it to
us gently, THAT is a truly horrible thing for you to have said.

No inside info...just a gloomy prediction, based on a number of goodbyes to a number of good friends (and relations).

Even the strongest human body has its' limitations.

But you know what? I doubt Keith would have any regrets, and if his life is cut short, would not have changed a thing.

Well, I'm sorry for your losses and hope u feel better soon, but that's
no reason to try to include Keith in your grief and make us all feel
a little bad.

I don't get this thread. Mick Jacker doesn't fool father time. He's just enjoying life, hopefully he is, knowing that the years to come are far less than the years already passed in his life.
And honestly: isn't it for most of us in this forum more or less the same?

At least Mick hasn't destroyed his face with "plastic" surgery.
