OT Threads

Didn't bv say some time ago that he was going to stop OT threads?

If he did say it, clearly he's changed his mind but I'm asking him to reconsider.
Let's talk about the Stones on a Stones site and other matters on forums relevant to them.

Sodding bloody sport (in particular, football which never seems to go away) must have many homes. Why does it need to raise its ugly head here?

I think he said he wouldn't tolerate too many of them dominating page 1..

I agree, we could use more OT threads. Can someone please start a baseball thread... and we also need a Wimbledon thread... then a Brazil Olympics thread... another Hockey thread... several football handball headball and racquetball threads... and is it time for World cup soccer football yet? We need another one of those, they are fun

I had to do a dictionary search for "sodding" and "bloody" . I enriched my taboo english vocabulary. Curiously enough they are almost synonyms but they are put together by the op though. (we should start an OT thread for english language improvement for non native speakers...)grinning smiley

Well researched, Deltics! Of course, if OTs weren't allowed, that particular thread would not have existed so don't shoot the messenger! As I tell my colleagues at work, nothing is ever my faultsmiling smiley

To be fair, a tax returns thread is hardly off topic and links nicely to Exile on Main Street. Some might argue that we own the album to onerous tax laws and forms.

Rumour is that the next album will be a thematically related follow-up to the tax-inspired Exile and revenue-making No Security tour, entitled Social Security.

We also need a an OT thread about OT threads...
and an OT thread talking about how awesome Johnny Carson is, and how his show in re-runs is 50 times infinitely more entertaining than any current (all posers) late night talk show host. It is unreal how good his show is. Every Johnny episode either he and/or his guests give me an honest belly laugh. Seeing people like Kevin Bacon talk about his upcoming movie (Oliver Stone's JFK) or Louis Gossett Jr talk about his upcoming movie (An officer and a gentlemen) is amazing. And then Johnny brings out some common person non-celeb who is a medium size fish a small pond somewhere, who has done something really cool, and Johnny gives them their 15 minutes of fame.
