Zep's first album is by far their best, imo.
Yes, it's not so OTT as the others. I don't really hate Led Zeppelin, but there's very few songs of there's that I really like.
Written by the great Laura Nyro, who was the pop-rock female genius singer-songwriter before Joni, and is sadly a forgotten figure these days.
I was just listening to her two-disc anthology yesterday.
The notes said she wrote, "And When I Die" (which became a monster hit when it was covered by Blood, Sweat, and Tears ) when she was seventeen!
To address the topic, my choice is this:

Let's tone down "Can't stand" and re-phrase as "Post something you like by an artist you otherwise have no use for". Better?

Here's Laura's version, just for comparison. It's good, but the Babs version in Quad is spectacular. It's literally the only thing she's ever done that I like.

I'm having the same problem with Fleetwood Mac. Maybe I'll come up with one this weekend.
Actually, I must confess to liking The Day I Met Marie as well. It's the nearest he came to psychedelia in a funny, Sgt Pepper, Arthur Lee kinda way.
