I think I've given up on Mick and Keith doing what is expected of them: to come out in sober black suits and play the Blues; and act distinguished. They are going out in really bad taste. Haha..

smileys with beer

Sorry, but this would be soo boring!
How many others have done that already?! From the Stones I'd expect something else . .

Yes, very boring. See a Don Henley. Or for that matter: what the hell happened with Rod Stewart?
I would go as far as to say that not only do I like what Jagger is doing, but it has made me love him even more.

Love the song, and really love the video!

Have watched it several times since it was available yesterday; just love all the colours, the vibrancy, Joss Stone looks and sounds great, Jagger just makes you smile, digging the pink suit...

Big thumbs up from me.

you're acting so much more 'grown up' and less 'clown like' yourself these days, by contracting your 'byeee' salutation to a more slimmed down and simple, 'bye'.

congratulations on your development.

When was the last time either dressed that way for a gig? Would have to be eons ago...

Well that is my point. I love Jagger in that pink suit. And Keith looking the way he looks.
But you look at this very thread here, and it is littered with comments about how silly Jagger looks, and how he should know better; and I have seen many, many comments here in the years that the favored 'exit' for the Stones would be to play the Blues, country, distinguished etc.
And, no matter if I agree with all that or not, I have become convinced that it will not happen.

I'm actually surprised at how many old fogies there are here...look at the wardrobe the man has had through the years, the plastic pants, the football outfits, the one piece jumpsuits....all of that was ok, but now, he's wearing a pink suit to play a role in a video, and some goobers here are 'offended'.

They sound vaguely like 'grampa simpson'....an example of which is provided below:

Grampa: The television only has one channel.
Aide: That's a fish tank!
Grampa: You're a fish tank.
Aide: That was hurtful. I wish I was a fish tank, then I could filter out his nasty words.

Re: Miracle Worker The Official Videoclip

Ha! I find reading all the boo-birds trashing on Mick's suit both hilarious and sad. You know damned well if Charlie showed up wearing the exact suit you all would be the first to remark how dapper and classy and elegant and tasteful he is—"Boy! that ole' Charlie sure is one hell of a fine dresser—what a fine example of a modern English gentleman!" If Jagger wore a gray suit with a black tie you'd all accuse him of losing his edge and getting old and wonder where the Mick with style, swagger and flair went? Can't win for losing . . .

The video isn't bad. The song is growing on me a little. Nothing special though.

Sorry, my dear, but Charlie WOULDN'T be caught dead or alive in that suit.

The song, however, is starting to stick.

My apologies DragonSky, I forgot you personally know everything Charlie would and wouldn't wear, how silly of me to contradict you. Knowing now how tight you and Charles are regarding his wardrobe selections, I feel so silly, dear . . .

I wonder how Superheavy sounds live ons stage.
I think it could be a hell of a party with a mix of Reggea, Soul and Rock and hopefully some rare Stones gems.

Yes, he does look ridiculous in that wonderfully silly pink suit - but what's new about Mick looking ridiculous? It's never bothered him in the past and it certainly doesn't now: he's clearly having fun and not remotely embarrassed (even if lots of people here think he should be).

After my initial "Good GRIEF!" reaction on first viewing, I had another look, and I find it works. Look at the long shots from about 3.59 onwards: he makes a spot of brilliance in the dull world - something Mick and the Stones have always provided.

Great! Fine video, fine song. It's not a fantastic song, but better than almost everything else around these days. And Mick did a perfect job, I think.

Absolutely. And why should it bother him ? After all, he is Mick Jagger.

Willing to try new stuff; willing to work with new people; willing to put himself out there and try to entertain instead of sitting around moaning about others or droning on about the past. I find Mick an inspiration. And I quite like the pink suit!

I like it. I love the voodoovibe Dr. Trik bit and the outrageous pink suit. I dig the music and the lyrics. Joss Stone is wonderful. It's not the new Exile on Main Street but Jagger still delivers.

Yeah, it has an "in the moment" quality I really like. He's not impersonating a past version of himself. Rather, he's presenting us with a past version of himself as that "character" might appear to be today. It's like when you see a recent Clint Eastwood movie, "Gran Torino", for example. He's not trying to recreate the 1971 Dirty Harry. He's showing you what Dirty Harry might be like now.

Love the suit and the ridiculously large wall of amplifiers at the back of the stage (anyone else notice that?). The song, however, is utterly pedestrian.

So you really think Charlie would wear something so gaudy like that? Highly entertaining.

The wall of 'amplifiers', is what they call a 'soundsystem' in Jamaica.

Do I think Charlie would wear a suit like that? The answer is: "Probably not, I don't know?" But neither do you, regardless of your own convictions. My point was simply, if Charlie wore it, people would give it more of a chance and not be so quick to judge and criticize. On this board, generally, Charlie can do no wrong, however, anything Mick (or Keith) does is open to instant bashing and moaning and tears in beers.

Yet you want Mick to go out on tour with the RS & sing 'Satisfaction' & 'Jumpin' Jack Flash'...

Exactly. I just have the feeling that thoses who bash this are doing so because they are bitter then Jagger doesn't appear to want to work with the Stones again. They seem like a bunch of Keith Richards.

Wow! Jagger is in good spirits these days!

It looks like Jagger can not make it by himself (solo), but he needs other interesting other people around him, so that he can really shine. He needs contrast. A challenge maybe to steal a show, or something. It looks like that the Stones doesn't inspire him any longer. He just does his thing, collects the money and that's it. No inspiration.

But here he is goddamn funny, and plays freshly with his old image. A great deal of self-irony, and he doesn't hide the years to be seen in his face. He is really making a pawn there is no one ever walked before. An artist of performance.

Aah, the silly (daring) clothes is just a part of deal. Great ol' Mick... He has been always like that. The boring Vegas Tours and his safe and sure (peter pan) stage uniforms had made people to forget what a shocker dresser he has always been. He has a history in that, and he looks now eager to play that "witch doctor" role... the role suits him so well, and makes another addition to the league of his characters. And those face expressions, hand movements... This man never belonged to boring 'classic rock' stations or to conservative categories what a "rocker" should be and look like..

It's so great to have Mick Jagger. Go on, Mick!

Anyway, the video, the song, and Mick's dandy clothes reminds me of this (the SNL performance, with Jagger's funnily ugly yellow suit, would do even better, but couldn't find it):
