This man is one of the best rock musicians in the world, very innovative in those 60s-70s mixing hard rock music with classical music influences. He and Ritchie Blackmore were the first mixing both worlds and creating a new tendency in music that has been a reference for thousands of musicians, virtuosos, shreders, etc.............

This is a blow. His performance at this years Sunflower Jam at the RAH in London was a treat. His stage presence along, just telling stories and jokes was enough to leave everyone spell-bound. His work that day with Rick Wakeman along was worth the price. He even mention working with Rick Wakeman on a album. Deep Purple have always along with the Rolling Stones been my favorite two groups. Deep Purple still tour. Have anyone here seen them of late? A outstanding concert. They are to me the only true Rock band still on the road. Jon just release a new CD "Jon Live". Check out his site. [jonlord.org] He is a class act.I have been a fan since "Hush" back in '68. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. A speedy recovery! Then on to that album of you and Rick Wakeman.
