Schillid, you ever considered doing something with Stout artwork? Awesome combination.

OT ...

The Real Attic


This is the attic in my parents' house .................................................................................................................................................................................................................

I went back to Pennsylvania earlier this week for the funeral of my aunt who was 91 years old when she died. Aunt Myrtle was my mom's older sister. She was an artist. She was an incredible artist. She is the one who inspired me when I was little to try to become an artist myself.

The day after the funeral, I went up to the attic to finally go through "the pile" after all these years. The pile was a pile of paper a few feet high. Apparently, I didn't save just some of the drawings and paintings that I did at art school and growing up. I SAVED ALL OF IT. The bad and the good stuff.

I put some stuff up against the walls so I could see it again and set up a couple of tables to go through everything. I threw away half of the stuff... Two big boxes of paper to recycle. Stuff not worth saving because it was just bad or disintegrating (a lot of it done on cheap newsprint) or stupid or brought back bad memories or whatever.

Continuing to save the rest for now ... What to do with the rest ? I wonder
