How long before someone starts the "Terrible Musicians Who Have Great Stage Presence" thread?

Except for Stones, Dylan, Beady Eye, Primal Scream, Noel Gallagher, Faces, Bruce and Charlatans, I wouldn't pay tickets for any other WHITE artists.

Eric Clapton.

Although the older he and his contemporaries get, the better it serves him.

Get them to go the whole hog and put on a clown outfit, while you're at it.

Actually, Dylan once came pretty close with that Rolling Thunder Revue white-face look...

U2. Bono is doing an okay front figure, but the rest is like watching paint dry.

I would not call Dylan's stage presence boring. I find it actually quite cool. Well, if you are in front of the stage. I would not want to sit somewhere far away (which I did once at Dylan's concert and it was terrible. I was not only far away, but also very high just under the roof, where the sound was terrible).

As Eric explains here at 4:15, you don't have to shout or leap about.

Cant wait to be bored to tears by Dylan & Knopfler in October. Two nights in a row. Better bring my hammock!

I think it was Townshend who said, "Our fans don't want us to be like Pink Floyd and stand there like four dead people and sound fantastic".

I'd rather hear good music, when nothing much happens on stage (only playing music) then watch a guitarplayer running without playing guitar while the other guitarplayer acts like a clown..

not only does bill wyman have boring stage presence but he looks like he's incredibly bored up there.

Mick Taylor. Do you think he and Bill will ever rejoin the Stones for their next tour...oh sorry! Wrong thread. Maybe I should start that one. ;-)

Bono (I mean Jesus); Clapton; maccartney

I don't understand people that go to a rock concert to watch singers juggle and clown around, does the music even matter? If they "smiled" a bit more? What the hell?

Definately Clapton; i thought maccartney has gotten much better based on his yankee stadium show 7/15/11
