Denise Matthews suffered from sclerosing encapsulating peritonitis, a rare complication of a peritoneal dialysis, and died in a Fremont, California hospital on February 15, 2016, at the age of 57.
I liked her as a singer and also as an actress, especially in "Action Jackson".

Sad to hear this. A wild child who left the music business for God. The stories of her late 80's debauchery with Nikki Sixx were pretty bizarre. I wonder if it was a symptom of her drug use that caused her death?
